I'm shocked they are providing profiles now! (expecially for more than matter control)

Well the issue with OctoPrint is that you can't actually slice anything if you don't have Cura installed on a PC or Mac to create a profile. What's worse, it can't be the current version of Cura either. So you are left with no choice but to provide profiles.

To be totally honest, OctoPrint is a stupid place to slice models, I wished they had never added that feature in the first place.
You are totally blind when using Cura_Engine in OctoPrint, no model placement, no variables to tweak, nothing.

You really should only feed it GCode.
I am guilty of have sliced a few small things there myself and really... just give it GCode.

@Cory Harpell I couldn't tell you since I don't use the predefined profiles. I created my own from Cura/Slic3r/Simplify3D since every default one I have tried has always left me wanting. But since I spotted them there was no reason not to share them with the community.

That is why many will not offer to share settings and profiles when asked. If they don't work well enough (and they usually won't) it just makes the receiver more frustrated.

True. Some people, though, aren't as bull-headed as I am. Sometimes it takes unlimited stubbornness to push through a series of small problems that might make others just give up. Plastic is an unforgiving medium and requires a fair amount of patience.

    +1 for this.

Same for the Gcode Viewer tab. If you aren't previewing in your slicer before printing or using a webcam (very simple to set up) then the Pi is being wasted (because both functions will bog the Pi down when you could be printing something while doing these other things on your PC with your slicer of choice).
