I have a Robo R1 Plus+, and an original Prusa i3 MK2. I have had the Prusa for 6 months, never gotten to print correct, not even their files they sent on an SD card. I purchased it as a factory assembled printer not a kit, so it so it would be calibrated correctly. I have had the R1 Plus+ for over a year and prints perfect every time. I am thinking of selling the Prusa and getting another R1 Plus+. I need two printers for work, so right it's not really working for me.

    Pics or it didn't happen.

Also, if it did happen, I'll give you $300 for it shipped since I'm going to have to "fix" it.

Thanks for the the low ball offer, but $300 shipped isn't going to happen, lol.

Good luck. The refurb R1+ units sell for roughly 1/2 of the new ones and that is ball-park for most (working) used printers.

You might be better on eBay and setting a reserve for what you want.

LOL if you think anyone is going to pay more than half of retail for a used printer that you claim doesn't work properly.

EDIT: And are you sure you shared the right prints? There is nothing distinctly "wrong" with the batarang print that isn't also present on the object you say was printed by the R1+.

I am trying to sell it local, so I don't have to pack and ship it. So I can do eBay, and just do local pick up. The Prusa is what I am looking to sell, have to do some research on there pricing now, but since I bought it assembled and it shipped from over seas, I think I paid like $900 shipped.

@aznhlfan unfortunantly its correct, the last used printer I bought was 1/4 the price of new because of the low low price of refurb units and the fact that its not "new" feel free to get ahold of me. We can get the MK2 performing correctly buddy. No question

Depending on how long ago you bought it, you probably ought to actually take advantage of the support system they have for it if there is anything actually wrong with the printer (because you haven't posted anything that shows it working incorrectly).

It works great, but the prints are a little off, and the 1 layer is not smooth. The R1 is smooth as glass, and it prints letters, numbers great. I have only had the Prusa 6 months, but don't have the time or patience to mess with it anymore. That is why I spent the extra money to get the assembled one and not the kit. There are a couple things I don't like about the Prusa anyway.

you bottom layer should be just as smooth with the PEI. have you adjusted your baby steps to be correct? Its much harder to get perfect prints but once its set, its a set and forget. Are you using their Slic3r or S3D?

I have tried slic3r, Prusas version of slic3r, Cura and matter hackers. I use Matter Hackers on the R1.

I'm betting your struggling with the slicer my friend. likely not a hardware issue but willing to spend an hour or two with ya if you want. I think once you get it dialed in you'll be very happy with it. If not...ship it to me. we will work out a deal :D

Not really wanting to pay for a sliver, when there is a ton of free ones. Cura seems to print the best with it, but still not spot on.

his version of Slic3r should be very close to what you'd get out of any paid slicer. you should update to the new firmware if you havent already. made a big difference.

if you want to troubleshoot it a bit here is a gcode for PLA. if you run it post a few good pictures of it (just stick that on the SD card and press print, set your z offset) get a picture of the first layer if you can please.
