just recently started doing a print and the motors went too low into the build plate and there was a pop sound and I immediately turned it off and checked it. now the motors only go up and won't go down anymore. Any ideas? anyone?

One of the Z home switches is stuck open. Probably got knocked out of place.

They are normally open and held closed by the weight of the carriage. If mospositioned they will open and read as HOME

also @mark tomlinson Where are the Z switches located? are the one of the pictures pictured above? Or are they somewhere below where you can't see IE underneath the bed area

Second picture shows one out of position. It should look just like the one in the first picture.
The nut and brace holding the switch is totally out of position.

Hold the threaded rod on the side it is correct and turn the other one until it is correct. May take some fiddling to get the nut to seat back in.

Best to do all of that with it off too.

@mark tomlinson well the rod on the left side I adjusted till i hard a clicking sound so its touching but the one on the right side where theres about a 25-28mm gap between the little orange clicker and the bottom of the carriage. Is that gap supposed to be there?

    It happens :)
Get that brass nut back in place and the switch that is open will be pushed up against the carriage and then read closed/not home
