Yay! ... good for you .. glad that was working ... I think the more you experiment - the better results you can get. PLA and PETG are working great for me - no heated bed, etc.

I just came across the Fleks3d video on youtube and was going to come here and ask everyone's opinion. Glad I did. Can't wait to try this out.

I Have a real Fleks3d plate, but grabbed a sheet of 12x18 lexan from home depot today, gonna cut it down and do this mod and compare them.

There is one downfall with the fleks3d plate I already know of, if you just clamp the black frame down, large prints will warp the plate and once I had it pull the entire plate out of the frame then it slides around.

So I kinda want to just trim a lexan sheet to 10x15 cover the entire bed and be done with it.

Well that works great, my bed leveling is still out of whack ( always has been always smashed on left side ).. but It stuck to the lexan no problem, and I have no bed heater. Will try a real print later.

FYI, I bought one of these at home depot with the lexan http://www.homedepot.com/p/Plaskolite-Pro-Grade-Cutter-1888888A/202519358
Clamped it to my workbench with a straight edge and scored the crap out of it over and over, snapped right off.

Up next for me is to get my IR sensor installed so I A) Wont have to worry about melting the lexan during leveling, B) Hopefully wont get skewed bed leveling like it does stock.

Edit: Oh yea since I have aluminum bed and no heater ( yet ). I can just yank the entire bed out if I really need to get after a stubborn print thats stuck, or just take the lexan off and flex it.

Printed the back clips out in PETG, had some warpage. Probably due to my z-height. the thin parts on the corners pulled up.

Due to my wonky autoleveling I have a pretty high z-height. Once I fix that will try again, or I may still need to ad a bed heater.

The Clips work though work great. I used 11x14 and trimmed it, but I also have a 12x18 to trim that will cover the entire bed and wont require 3d printed clips, just small binder clips on front and back.
