Solved Build Plate Issues (No heat)

    Okay new problem, I can't get my computer to connect to the printer to test it. I've used 2 different cords and 2 different computers so neither of them are at fault.... do I need a new Arduino board? I really hope not.

    Tested the Arduino by itself. It will connect, just not with the ramps attached.

    So a BAD RAMPS or a BAD stepper driver card.
    Try connecting the RAMPS with no stepper drivers on it.

    Removed all the stepper driver cards from the RAMPS and no connection, looks like I'm buying another RAMPS board. While I wait for that, I did get a light on that board to turn on and connect to my computer twice before it failed, would it be a bad board or my fault for killing it?
    I'm buying a pair of boards regardless, hopefully with better results.

    Hard to say, but the RAMPS is rather hard to kill :)
    I have seen a number of bad ones lately directly from suppliers/vendors so ... bad run at the Chinese factory I guess.

    Thanks A bunch guys! I have my printer up and running as of two days ago and I'm back to trying to tackle my printer queue.
