Before I drill a hole for the tube do I need to take this apart completely, I'm worried about hitting that metal thing that feeds the filament down. How did you guys go about this?

Got the hole drilled already, not nearly as bad as I thought. 2nd question is this good for the nozzle or should the nozzle be right up against the block with no space between them

That is perfect. You need the nozzle to be tight against the heatbreak not tight against the heater block. That is the only way you can insure yourself from leaks at the hotend part of the extruder.

if printing PLA point a desk fan at the print while printing and it will likely finish. Might be ugly but then you can print a pretty one ;)

Almost done with this project, now the big questions.

How do I update the firmware to the newest version exactly for the R1 plus?

And how do I make the changes in the firmware for the e3d v6?

ah I gotya. You need to download the arduino software.

    https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software

The robo firmware is on the Robo site but I cant find my link at the moment. You need the R1+ firmware.

Once you download it and open the firmware in the arduino software you will go through and change those lines shown in the other thread :D

This is a good video that explains firmware

Is it ok if I connect the E3D V6 hot end fan to the same place as that small robo fan was? If I wire the same connector on it of course. Or is it a must to plug it into the board???

Any 12v source that is on when the printer is on is fine (assuming you mean the fan attached to the side of the E3D). So if you want to use the power for the old Hexagon fan -- go for it
