I was curious if someone could help me understand where this noise is coming from. I noticed the rod end seems to wobble a bit.
This is the first print I made that went all the way toward that side of the x-axis

    thanks in advance.

now, it is happening THREE times, and an interesting phenomenon is that it only happens while the printer is moving from right to left. The noise appears to be coming from the left, rear, top section of the printer. I guess I need to contact Robo3D today. SIgh... Just a few weeks old...

my guess would be the gantry is not square. Contact them about it and they can instruct the correct way to square it up, or advise a RMA.

I agree, check all of the corner points for the gantry. One of ours (the left rear) was knocked completely out of the case in shipping. Was as easy as popping it back into the case, but still.

Mine was doing the same thing in the same place. I loosened up the pulley for the X axis on the back left and slid it a about 2 mm away from the chassis and that eliminated the clicking noise. Be careful not to rotate the pulley, otherwise it will knock the gantry out of square.

just to be clear, that means loosening the black allen wrench screws, sliding the gear a bit to the front, and then tightening the screws again, right? Is there an easy way to get back there, or do I do it with all of the plastic on the rig?

You probably want to remove the top. I am not saying that is simple, but it is doable :)

Good luck with that :) You need to email them directly. There is this:

    http://docs.robo3d.com/en/latest/

but I do not think it will help.

believe it or not, they responded to a twitter message and are sending me photos for the top removal. I see there are only two screws that hold in that gear so i may just try to rotate the bar a bit until they are both on the bottom (and easily accessible from the unit's inside work volume) and then loosen the up, carefully slide the gear 1mm forward, and then tighten it back up, paying attention to not let the thing rotate... thanks everyone, I will report back the results

You don't need to remove the gantry. With the Allen wrench provided you can reach the two Allen screws with a combination of the short and long sides. I would lock the Gantry down with the orange clips before loosening the pulley just to make sure nothing slips. It'll take you 30 seconds to do this and if it was like my printer it will fix that noise.

It seems to have stopped the noise. Thank you very much. I will print something tonight and see if it comes back or stays away.

    Thank you again, Kevin

Gantry removal is easy. Remove the 10 screws inside the gantry, unhook the cables from the two end stop switches and the two stepper motors and lift the gantry up and out.

Yes. Here is what they wrote (they also said they documenting all of this right now so that way the can create a trouble shooting video to better help people if this problem persists'.):

There are a total of 10 screws on the inside that aren't too difficult to access. I highlighted some of them in a photo. They're on all 4 corners near the top of the gantry. Also illustrated are the wires you will need to unplug.

Jeffrey, can you provide some pictures about what needs to be loosened and moved. I think I know, but prefer to be sure prior to loosening any set screws. Mine is doing the same thing.

Square up and lock the gantry with the orange clips, loosen the two set screws for the pulley that's clicking and slide it inward away from the outside edge about 1mm. Tighten both set screws. Repeat for other pulleys that are clicking.
