Will the build documents have details about attachment hardware, such as the size of the screws holding the "cover" onto the base of an R1 early model?

I have sometimes read build docs, etc front to back without ever finding such details.

Nope and likely no build docs. What exactly are you needing to know ?

The 4 screws that hold top onto the base are missing.

Hoping to get those screws without a lot of trial and error.

I don't think we are on the same page. The screws/bolts I am talking about are the 4 that go into the sides, left and right, one near each corner and serve to hold the two halves of the unit together.

Definitely smaller than 6MM as I have a package of 6MM x 1.0 and they are so tight in the cover holes they "want to thread in". So must be smaller than that.

And then, it dawns on him . . . just post a picture. 20191113_145114 (Small).jpg

Ok... remove the screws and the lid- take the nut out of the base and see if it threads on your m6 screw. They are tight in the case and I thought I’d had to track down spares and got M6, but they may be larger

There are no screws at all. Does the lid pull straight up and off? Are there cables, etc. to be wary of?

The black cable management should be zip tied to the top of the case- pull gently and watch

Did manage to tilt the cover back and a 6MM x 1.0 bolt threaded in from the interior side.

Unfortunately what I have are hex head bolts, far to large to fit in the recess in the cover, so I will have to get some pan head screws, or some other similar fastener.

    Thanks for the assistance.

I ended up with "socket cap screws" or "allen screws" as some know them. I think 15MM length will do. 12MM will not quite do it. Don't ask me how I know this.
