I really would like to replace the fans, especially the 20mm hotend cooler fan. It howls like the wind in an old horror movie. I have other printers that I have done fan replacements on, but all are lager fans. Does anyone have any good recommendations? I also really wish the HE fan would cutoff after it cools.

    Thanks,
    Scott

There is no such thing as a 25 mm fan that is quiet unless it is stopped. By the way, the hotend fan is 25 mm not 20 mm.

The Heat Break fan ( HE fan ) is hard wired to +12 Volts supply which is why it "howls" like it does. Perhaps a 24 V fan of the same dimensions would be quieter. The HE fan is a 12 Volt fan.

Yeah, I saw that it was hard-wired poking around a little at it. I have 24v fans on my other two printers. I will do some research.

    Thanks.

You CAN print an adapter that will let you use something larger (say a 40mm fan) in place of the 25mm fan :)
At least you can buy a 40mm Noctua ;)
