its not air tight down there, fire will roll (if fire were to happen there) the extinguisher would likely put it out, but of course as most things, pull cover aim directly in. these Co2 ones are pretty effective.

Yeah, what concerned me was the whole - stand back 8 feet and use, so i wonder how the retardant would spread from that far back.

Pressure, a nozzle... No oxygen :) Fire out. They will shoot up to 12 feet in almost all cases.

The old Purple-K ones (PKP) would go twice that far (don't bother asking how I know)

they mean buisness :D. If you've never used a fire extinguisher before call down and talk with your local fire department. They have test equipment and the such and would likely happily teach you the correct way of using them.

I’ve unwillingly used one when I was taking the soft top off my jeep and it pulled the plug and discharged the entire bottle all over the newly cleaned jeep. What a PITA to clean.

I was concerned about the health aspects and thought you needed to stand back 8 feet for a reason. My room isn’t even 8 foot, so if I had to lift the cover off the R2 base, and open the door to the R2 and then go back 8 foot, I’d have a pretty hard time. I could, however, stand next to it and disperse the contents into the R2.

With CO2 the only health hazard is lack of O2 :)

basically get the fire out and get out of the room :D. Co2 will replace the O2 to put out the fire. No O2, no fire. and no mess :D

sticking with this :D. Always better to be trained and confident or just get out of there and call 911 (or both ideally)

My printer cable and heated bed receptacle looks identical to supercazzola's photos (thanks for sharing them). I just ordered a new cable from PartsBuilt3D because the connection kept failing. In the mean time I tried to force a tight connection and ended up breaking some of the plastic on the heated bed receptacle (see attached photos).

Any advice for the broken receptacle? Plastic welding?

you could buy the part on digikey and solder it in. I posted the part number somewhere in this forum. Let me know if you can’t find it
