I have been working on my robo r1+, trying to get it to work after replacing the glass bed and thought I finally had everything figured out, but now when I heat the bed to start a new print the Extruder assembly starts to smoke and I also noticed that the thermistor said 190 when I hadn’t even heated it yet. The thermistor doesn’t seem broken and the rest of the wires seem fine too. Any ideas what could be causing it?

Bad thermistor (yes, it could still be the thermistor) or bad wiring (which you may have eliminated -- assuming the quick-disconnect connectors are good) or bad RAMPS board :)

So the thermistor is just a resistor that varies resistance based on temp. If it is stuck at a temperature then the resistance the RAMPS is seeing is "stuck" too (or the board is faulty).
