There is usually a fair amount of interest in proprietary and aftermarket upgrades 3D printers. I'd like to see a list of requests for items and RoBo 3D responses. Below are some common upgrades I've seen across other printer platforms.

Replacement and optional size hot ends.
Replacement and optional extruders - such as dual.
Replacement and optional printing platforms - for filaments besides PLA and ABS.
Utility upgrades - better rods, bearings, gearing, motors.
Usability upgrades - such as lighting, LCD, SD card port, wireless.

I hope that RoBo 3D will see this as an opportunity as well as a challenge. They are making an excellent printer platform. Next, they should try to make it as adaptable as possible to allow it to become individualized for as many people's needs and requirements as possible.

Adding a second extruder is something I'm very interested in doing once I've learned my way around the RoBo.

I'm going to pimp mine out with some LEDs :D They could probably sell LED strips for those that don't have 30 meters of LED strips hanging around.

Put me well in the dual-extruder camp.

Wireless wifi compatable would be awesome!
    Duel extruder would be nice.
    Maybe a .35 nozzle.
I have a viki LCD ordered but if I didn't.. an SD card reader and LCD controls so you don't have to keep it next to your computer.

I'm wanting the best print quality possible so it's hard for me request a particular upgrade before having a chance to see how RoBo prints in person. It could fill my wants and needs as is... Or it couldn't. Lol.

I would look for the dual extruder, the SD card printability

My big one is the dual extruder, now that HIPS filament is available. Better support to ABS prints, and then dissolve the HIPS out.

Isnt it just a matter of adding another extruder and a motor ?
I wonder if board Robo 3d printer comes supports more then one extruder.
I also wonder if it supports any LCD devices with SD card reader.

Wow, you dug out a pretty dead thread :)

The robo3d uses marlin firmware which supports different LCDs with card readers. It comes configured to accept the reprapdicount controllers. You can read more here at Melody's excellent FAQ: http://melodybliss.org/robo3d/
