    E3D felt like the next upgrade to do, so I went ahead and ordered a v6. Will be interesting to see if I will figure out how to install it..!

    The installation looks a lot neater than the V5. no kapton tape (copper gasket adhesive). Very clean.
    That nozzle is interchangeable with the V5. I just ordered a bunch of full kits and a ton of nozzles. Should have them in stock next week.

    Are you just upgrading yours or buying it for a new printer? I think that the nozzle alone will make a huge difference.

    Mike - I'll throw some into the package for free. I've yet to see evidence beyond hearsay that anyone has managed flexible filaments on a bowden, but if anyone can do it I'd put money on it being you.

    Printed Solid, my current E3D v5 is working quite well, but it's always nice to have a spare :) Haven't thought about another printer yet, but that's a possibility in the future... :)

    Hello i have ordered the 1.75mm direct E3Dv6 right now with the reduction coupon :)

    I hope this head can resolved my problems on my robo 3d :(

    I'll also add that my E3D v5 is working great and has never jammed for PLA or ABS.

    Oh great and wise ones... Anyone have concerns with the 1.75 version having a ptfe liner? I have had heat creep on my V5 which doesn't have the ptfe tune....

    Any thoughts from those wiser than me?

    I wonder that a little myself. The intent of the design is that the heatsink setup is keeping the PTFE cool enough.

    What printed solid said. My PTFE bowden tubes already press into the heatsink, a little more shouldn't hurt anything. If the heatsink is not hot to the touch it certainly won't damage ptfe.

    Hello all,

    i have a question for you when my e3dv6 was here what modification do i do on the robo 3d. I know the firmware must be updated with the new min max temperature but where is it ?? And i'm also afraid for the wiring on my robo is there a tutorial for that ???

    And the last question must i do to remove the original fan to put the e3d fan ???

    The PTFE also eliminates the need for a completely smooth bore and reduces friction as well.

    Under the Configuration.h file there's this section:

    Change the Heater_0 max temp to 295 or so.

    The original fan is a parts fan, you'll need to print a new holder to fit with the E3D: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:186027 I believe http://melodybliss.org/robo3d/ has an e3d tutorial as well

    Mhhh ok thanks i see on other post that the the temp sensor must to be changed too i modifed already my auto level firmware with 310 maxtemp and the temp sensor 0 5 is this correct ??

    And did you think that i can print the fan holder whithout the original fan holder because i have already all unmounted the head and the fan ?
