RoBo 3D Printer Arrived!

    Looking good Harry... Does your cabinet have enough room for the print bed to move all the way back?

    All instructions are there. We launched that site yesterday! So you can go ahead and configure all your settings now. I'm sad, that I am about 2 inches short on my cabinet unfortunately. Luckily ...I have a fix for it I am just going to cut a little slip for the print bed to move thru so it will work! haha.

    Ponwer, this is my first printer, besides the Printrbot Simple which I have, and I think this printer is an AMAZING printer, uncomparable to the Printrbot.

    Hey Nick, not one hiccup or problem! It started printing perfectly out of the box. I have the ABS and PLA version.

    I have a feeling that the only thing about RoBo that is going to drive me nuts is the moving bed. It's going to be hard to place it on your desk. it is a great looking printer and I would love to set it right on my office counter... but it's will have to sit far away from the wall because of the moving bed. If i turn it sideways it takes away from the appearance of the printer.... Maybe I can find a spot in the corner of the room.... Will see when it arrives this week.... :)

    Harry are you printing ABS in your house? Are there any fumes? Is it toxic to print with ABS indoors? or does it only give off toxic fumes if printing at high temperatures?

    I heard Harry say he was doing ABS and did not smell anything it was in his workshop in his garage I believe

    I know the guys are busy..... but when they get a chance have them look at the Repetier-Host settings inside a Mac. The tabs are named differently and there are different options listed. I was able to figure it out but others may have issues....

    Hey JDM_, ask me any questions. I have a mac, and have all the settings done on my mac. I am going to work on updating the guide with the guys for Mac users too. I do print in my workshop which is in my Garage. I didn't smell any fumes, and I've heard it isn't bad the fumes, just some people don't like the smell. I didn't smell anything.

    Think I got the settings correct... I'll know when my printer shows up... The only question I have now is that I didnt show a COM8.. I think this is a windows thing... What is your connection set at? Step 3 on that link you sent me..

    USBMOdem___. It depends on which USB your printer is plugged into. When you get the printer you'll need to select the right port again. And if you change which port it is plugged into you'll need to do the same.

    That is taken on my phone. I am going to run and grab some pictures on my nice camera so you can see the stunning quality a Robo can do. I'll be honest with you, I never knew a Robo could print this quality....nor did I know any printer could print this quality. I've never seen a print to this quality in my LIFE.
