[How To] Dual Bowden E3D v5 on the RoBo 3D

    I've never seen anyone update the robo to 10mm rods. I'd suggest adjusting the model in solidworks or similar.

    Wouldn't you also need to reprint the x axis brackets on either side as well to go with larger rods? (Does anyone have an stl to them?)

    previous poster mentioned upgrading to 10mm rods, i was thinking he was doing this for stability maybe for faster prints? however i do need to print out stock x brackets (on the right) because mine seems to be a little defective. (the nut on the right side attached to the switch turns about 5degrees in either direction.

    Mike, I've printed everything out and just waiting the last few pieces to arrive in the mail. Is there anything in software/firmware that i would need to modify?

    were you gonna use the v5 or v6 e3d? You might want to print the parts for my newer design which improves upon the last one. Go ahead and message me on skype and we can discuss options.

    i actually printed your modular design for the V6, but after doing some research i'm seeing the Chimera/Cyclops as well.. which would you recommend? (will you be available tomorrow to skype? Currently away from my printer)

    I'm thinking the Cyclops would be the easier of the two to setup, but you still need another extrustion motor if I'm not mistaken.

    I've already printed and mounted the two bowden extrudes using Nema 17s from amazon (i know the robo3d extruder motor is a 48oz/in i actually purchased 64 oz/in anyone know if that will cause any issues?).

    could you give me a more precise look at the two stepper motors that feed the filament ?

    @exelsion It might be but it will cost you a lot of money considering the complexity of some pieces.

    and you do not need to have it in metal; if you really what to have a metal look you can take some of the metals filaments and then polish it
