Ok, I loaded both STLs and looked underneath the render and see the main difference is in beefier support for screw mounts - I definitely have the original version printed, as those were rather flimsy and the center one broke off and I had to glue it back... Either way thanks for making and sharing it!

Just as a tip, here is the link for the other 3 feet you will need if you are using the swivel mount: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:681876

For the feet, print 2 regular feet and one plug foot (as well as the swivel mount foot for the XXL Controller)

And, because it appears that you have to remove the bottom cover (I havent taken the time to see if I can notch out the corners) here is the link to the RAMPS fan bracket: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:166045

    Thanks Mike!

@JoshYourITGuy, actually you do not need to remove the bottom cover with these or most of the feet on Thingiverse, but you can if you want.

@JoshYourITGuy I need some feet for my new R1 with a bottom cover, so I'll take some measurements and get a revised version out there

Just tried. Although it can sit on these feet with the cover in place, it does not seat down into the grooves far enough and therefore is just sitting there without enough "meat" in place to bolt it on.

EDIT: Added picture to show what I mean.

    Just a review:

The panels from @Printed Solid are awesome. The design by @Mike Kelly is perfect.
The assembly is a bit awkward, but manageable.

I started by dry-fitting ALL of the panels with painters tape, then I peeled the backing off the panels, then assembled it with painters tape along the exterior edges. I lined the interior corners with painters tape, leaving a quarter inch on each side of the seams. I then used Weld-On 3 and a flux brush and brushed a semi-heavy coat of Weld-On into each seam, the Weld-On 3 is water-thin and is drawn into the joint. I left it all sit over night. The next morning, I pulled all of the tape off, then went back with more Weld-On on the exterior seams to ensure everything was bonded fully.

Assembly to the RoBo was easy. After dry-fitting the halves to the RoBo (and determining which half fit the best up front) I printed and bolted the tabs to the enclosure, then held the printed female pockets in the tabs and lined the enclosure up with the black lines on the RoBo. I used a paint marker to mark the holes, then just drilled and bolted it in place.

This makes the RoBo much quieter, safer, and less prone to drafts.

My only suggestion would be possibly notching the bottom panel of the rear half to allow just a slight gap for the heated bed ribbon cable as it is almost pinched in place and I worry about the repeated movement chafing the insulation. I might file mine down a bit if I notice any issues.

    Thanks again!

That's a good idea on the ribbon cable. Robo3D likes to change the design on us :) I'm just thankful that the cable works at all.

I'll see about adding the notch in the next batch we order.

We could probably get this batch machined. How significant is it?

To me, this looks like an easy fix with a file, but something we should definitely revise at the next batch. what do you two think?

Yeah a file for now would be sufficient. For the next batch I think we'll add a small notch in that area so it's not getting pressed on. There is a slight gap there already that helps but it would be good to not be pinching the wires at all

Yeah, I can file this one. Either a notch or increasing the gap would work.

Hm, I love the enclosure and thought of a nifty idea for filtering out the ABS fumes. Using a 60mm fan and setting it up to blow outwards on the rear of the enclosure and fitting a carbon filter sheet to it would help with filtering the fumes. Adding some kind of panel to the back of the fan that would blow a nice minty smell would also help with any smell left over that wasn't fully absorbed by the carbon fiber filter.
