    Hey guys,
I made a high powered LED spindle slight for my CNC mill, and thought I'd show off my little garage work area. 20160131_115659_resized.jpg

The spool holder is a design that I did a while back. It's pretty generic, but the use of U-groove nylon bearings to provide an ultra low friction spool holder is a perfect match. The bearings are from Ebay. Some M5 shoulder screws, and M5 nuts and loctite is all it takes. The spool holder has been perfect and fits all spool sizes. I recommend a similar setup. 20160201_205646_resized.jpg 20160201_205711_resized.jpg

Mike, I'm always willing to help out a fellow Red Raider. I'm still learning the CAM aspect of the CNC milling hobby, so I'm not fully proficient yet, but will get there. Making simple parts with increasing complexity every time, mostly in aluminum and delrin for now. I'll be picking up a lathe soon, and doing a similar CNC conversion to it. I'll be pretty well equipped to bring ideas to life then.
