so i have the newest robo and i set up the e3d v6 . my question is what is the new process that needs to be done? do i need to take the whole thing apart or does it get done a little different then what all the install videos i see? The videos seem to all be for the kickstarter or the next one not the r1 plus.

You have a Beta then, not an R1 at all :)

Yes, there are a few threads discussing how to get NinjaFlex and similar filaments to work using a PTFE tube.

You will need to print a new part to allow the E3D to fit properly. It is a thicker quick release plate:

And you do not have the mounting screws for the hotend like the videos show... because yours uses this quick release plate instead.

Okay, first, I am a total newbie so don't assume I know ANYTHING! lol I upgraded my robo 3D to the E3D V6, finally got all the wiring done (no guarentee correct), it moves x, y, z; hot bed heats, but the extruder does not. Suggestions?

Oh, I am using Matter Control for lack of knowing what else to use...

Bad wiring to the heater core or the thermistor?
I assume the hotend reads a normal temperature (like room temp)?

Any errors in the console log for your printing software when you try to heat?

does Matter Control have that? I thought I read it didn't and I sure can't find it... Or what software should I be using (again software for the newest newbie)

Thanks, I had a feeling I was on the right track, but wanted to hear from some else before I ordered. Ordered today, hopefully here in a week or so :)

Is it just the thermistor and Heater Cartdrige that need wired for the extruder to heat or is there something else? Just trying to narrow down what might be wrong because I have reseated both those at the board and tried to reseat the thermistor. Though that piece is aggravating......

The important bits are heater core/cartridge (obviously since that is the part that gets hot) and the extruder thermistor.
If the thermistor is reading roughly room temp (mid-20's) then that is probably fine. You can take a hot air gun or a hair dryer to it and see that it goes up if you want to confirm.

Both of those components run back to the RAMPS (the daughtercard for the Arduino that does all of the I/O). So make sure they are all connected correctly.

And the heater core/cartridge is the D10, correct?

I have my e3d and after being overwhelmed I have one question..... The R1 plus does need a new fans holder? Lol I don't mean to ask a repeat question but want to print what is needed prior to tear down
    Thanks in advance

I think you do need to print a replacement parts cooling fan. If memory serves the existing one will not line up correctly on the E3D.

    Thank you!

So just the slide out tab and some fan mounts... Easy peasy
