My prints will almost routinely jam about 3-4 hours into the print because the little fan I have pointing at the hexagon cant keep the top part cool enough. Please, does anyone have a fan shroud yet that is designed for the hexagon? I could also use a shroud for the print cooling fan so I can direct cool air at only the top layer.

    Many thanks

I used a cut up business card hot glued because I wanted mine mounted on the left side on the bottom. works great so far.

I didn't realize that last one was for a 25mm fan. My fan is the original 40mm so it won't work :(

However, some research found this: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:460121

I think it's the best option of all of these for a fan as it frees up a little bit of X space. Just thought I'd share for others who might read this thread.

Guys does it mean that Robo has general issue with cooling the coolend? After a few months printing on it I came to this conclusion.
Can you share with some best practice solution for that? @Mike Kelly can you advice something? Should I replace whole extruder plastic parts or some partial solution will enough?

I'm pretty sure the 'original' fan on the hexagon is 25mm (at least for the R1 or R1+). I know because I hated the whine from all 25mm fans so I replaced mine with a 30mm one (and appropriately printed fan shroud).

    Do you have any pics?

That's true, stock version has 25mm fan, but it's likely that kickstarter R1s had 40mm.

That would be a BETA not an R1 at all :)
I checked and they are indeed 40mm fans (at least on the two BETAS I have)

My knowledge of the BETA is limited, but did the BETA have the hexagon? For some reason I thought it had a different hot-end...

    It had a J-Head
None of the kickstarter printers came with a hexagon. That would be the R1.

    So I'm confused then.

OP, you talk about a hexagon hot-end and a 40mm fan, which doesn't sound like the stock setup on any Robo3D printer. Do you have pics? Did you make any modifications?
