So I am one of 26 views and all Moreno did was to confirm my views that this is a consumer play and not a hobbyist or tinkerers play. He said Consumer and Plug-n-play at least a half dozen times.

Just jumping in to say Consumers will pay big bucks for something they want. It's about generating that "want" that may be the point.

I paid more for my smart phone and my tablet than I did for my Robo.

I paid twice what I paid for my Robo for the laptop I'm typing on.

I don't make money with them, I just "wanted" them. I could very will have gotten the job done with cheaper devices but I didn't.

    Consumers are funny that way.

Just my 2 cents, worth every penny.

A hobbyist or tinkerer with intentions to experiment or make modifications is going to buy an open frame Erector Set kit, are they not?

Of course the C2 & R2 are open source, so some folks will still get in and play with the guts.

I agree. To quote Steve Jobs:

"You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new."

"People don't know what they want until you show it to them"

@ROBOLabs Just wondering why these 2 parts are not in the parts collection page? Not an R2/C2 question I know, but since it was brought up in the thread already. ;)

@danzca6 I have noticed a lot of their products/parts appear to be hidden with the website update. If you just click on "Shop", you can view both of those parts. But when you click on Shop->Robo->Parts those two are not listed. Similarly, the drone kit is not listed under the "Kits" but is listed in the "Shop".

That's what I did. I looked at all products and saw these two stragglers out there that weren't included in the normal parts page.

OK 2 things after seeing that video.

First, "How hard is it to get some sharks with friggin lasers on their heads around here!?!" Laser attachments coming. Interesting. To small of a build plate for a big piece but depending on the price could be fun.

Second, why was everything backwards? Seriously... I'm I going insane? All the text was backwards. Even the TV in the background showed the Microsoft logo backwards half way into the clip. Freaked me out.

    Edit...

    Facebook has the video backwards:
    https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1185386271518658&id=452013271522632&__tn__=*s

    Twitter has it correct:

Smoke n' mirrors? Just kidding - I hope not.

Lasers - How long before someone builds a mount to focus several of those low power diode lasers? Plastic welding anyone? Kids, don't try this at home.

I still have the laser goggles from our foray into the SLA :)
We will need them for the engraver/cutter. That LASER is still sitting in the box mocking me.

@mark tomlinson This is something I have been interested in but with so many other projects going it is a back burner type of thing, some day PM me info on the laser engraver you ended up getting.
