Hey guys thought t id share this. I got the E3DV6 1.5 nozzle on my r1+ today and am experimenting with teeny tiny prints!

Practical? Oh no...but it is a fun thing for play! Will do full size high resolution (lets say 20 micron) but havent decided on the test print. Ideas ?

Yes,no not lost pla molds but making a mold out of it. But I believe there is a wax like filament for doing that..
I don't think there are any rules here. People are doing all kinds of things. I made a ring out of wood PLA that I gave away.

Electroplating does work too (see mu ancient thread). I still have the tools for that although I have not done it in a while.
I did copper, but silver or nickel would be sweet looking too.

Now if you can print a submarine with a working laser then we can shrink it down about 1000x we could do surgery to save a president some day.

Ok had some time for a normal size print. Here is a marvin.

.02 micron layer height. Standard gregs wade with e3dv6(and .15 nozzle). Not to shabby

Nice. Slow to print, but nice :)

I've determined (I think) to leave the robo out of production and call her retired. The Prusa takes the robos place :D. I'm having to much fun printing with the tiny nozzle and high resolution. Thinking I'll leave it on and print at .75 and down resolution (I dont have any customers needing this nor can I think of an application that would warrant and pay for that kind of nonsense)

but its damn fun to push this thing lol

now a thought occurs to me since @danzca6 brought up the titan in a conversation we had. If I leave this guy for super detailed work with the tiny nozzle I may need to consider going bowden so its just fans and the hotend so I can push the speed.
