For some reason, some of my latest prints have been poor quality. Parts of the print look sloppy or not as sharp as the part next to it or the top layers don't seem to be as "solid" as they once were.

Here's a few pics to show what I'm talking about. On the rounded print, you can see the top final layers look like you can see through them and see the infill below. In the square print, you can see the right middle looks like it was coming apart where the left middle looks sharp. The inside left is sharp and the inside right looks like it was collapsing in as it printed.

Any suggestions as to what to look at to fix this?

    A couple of slicer suggestions:
    1) more top/bottom layers if you are at the slicer default settings.
    2) slow down and allow more time for cooling of smaller layers*. Otherwise the nozzle comes back over a section not yet solidified and that makes a mess.

*set a minimum layer print time

Forgive the newbie questions... I'm using Slicer on Mac. I have it set for 3 top/bottom layers and the following set for speed.

    Perimeters - 60mm/s
    Small Perm - 15mm/s
    Ext Perm - 50%

IS that what you are refering to?

    No, Slic3r has a setting
This give the model a chance to cool down before trying to place another layer on top. See http://manual.slic3r.org/expert-mode/cooling for more details.

Thanks. Mine was set to 5 seconds. I just upped it to 30 seconds and I'll try a reprint tonight and see if that fixed it.
