Okay so I have gone through all the threads discussing this issue and I cant figure out the issue. I moved my z axis up too far and now I had to manually move it down by spinning the roda and it will not zero to home anymore and it only moves up not down. What could cause this? My z axis reports negative numbers and won't respond to the move down command. Please help.

If the switches say the Z is home then it will never go more "home" or down any further... HOME is the bed (or supposed to be)

I read through all of those posts. Tried reflashing firmware and re-aligned the switches. See pic. Still won't move down so I assume it a bad switch. Gonna test voltage next. Thanks for the help guys.

From the video it looks to be improper positioning.

I think I fixed it! Running a calibration circle quick but it was the positioning. I had to push the rod a bit and it came down on the switch :)

Yea, that symptom always means a bad switch.
Usually it just gets accidentally knocked out of position and it is a simple fix.
Worst case a wire is bad or the switch itself, but you always know it is switch related.

I had a pretty chronic problem with the z-axis getting knocked around consistently, along with the brackets they sit on.

I have a couple of zip ties around them now, they move far less than they used to, and it solved much of an adhesion issue I was experiencing, as well.
