I will check that and let you know where it is landed.
It looks like from my pictures that you are correct, when the current print stops I will verify that.

Last two photos from today.First shows the bed removed (held on by magnets):

Second an untouched torture test model. It has a some minor defects that need tuning, but nothing obscene.

I replaced one of the PEI sheets (not too much of a problem) they give you 6 spares.
I wanted to see how difficult it was. :)
This is a good reason to add a raft since it can get too aggressive on adhesion otherwise and wreck the PEI removing it.

The red/black pair you see going all over the place :) goes back from the Pi and up into the channel out the back. Those are for the filament run-out. There are two run out sensors (one for each extruder if you use two)..

    Probably an MKS-variant.

If I get a reason (or motivated and bored) I will pull the entire board and see if there is anything else on it in fine print.

Hey Guys, I believe we should have in the not so far future a kit (at least for the R2, I need to check on the C2) for dual extruder. Still in the works though!

That would be awesome. We were going to take apart the effector part and have another look to see if that was feasible. I know much of the framework for dual extrusion is there in the C2, but mounting the second extruder motor might cost too much build area. Let us know!

There are slots for a second hotend inside that assembly including a room for a feed from the filament run out sensor.
The ONLY thing I did not see an obvious spot for was the second extruder stepper. Maybe I was just overlooking it

Interesting. Maybe the 2nd one is meant to be bowden

    Exactly. You nailed it.
I went back and looked again and it is clearly intended for the second one to be a bowden feed :) Probably mounted on the back. I will (in fact) throw one together...

So after running a fairly long and tall print we noticed a few inconspicuous layer shift lines in the middle and upon examination that bar had come free of the back of the case again. Amazing that it actually printed to completion at all and with so little to notice. This time when I remounted the bar I added some "encouragement" in the form of CA Glue to hold the outer part to the case. Care is needed because what actually extrudes through the case is a bearing on the end of the shaft/bar so you don't want to glue the inner workings of that, just the outer shell.

I am guessing that there was enough movement of the X/Y carriage to jostle the bar loose during more "Active" sections of the print.
