when I try to use the "repair file" tool in the Prusa edition Slic3r, it creates an obj file. So I export it to the sd card, and it is an xxx.gcode.tmp file on the sd card. That is what I tried to print with that did not work. Is this not a real gcode file?

I figured it out, it was the slicers repair tool that was creating that file. I used nettfabb or what used to be netffabb. Then converted it into an stl file and then exported it to the sd card. I think I am going the long way around, that felt like wayyyy to many steps for 1 file.

I have the paid netfabb so my repairs come out as .stl you can use the online version then imlort into 3d builder and export as .stl (the free way is always a few extra steps)

As a "rule" for me i use a relair tool to repair and only use a slicer to slice the .stl into .gcode

Keeps it simple.for me, glad you got it figured out!

Horrible print, even after repairing or printing straight without repairing. If I had hair I would pull it out.[IMG]

Yes, I use Hatchbox PLA, there is no Hatchbox in the slicer, so I chose Prusa PLA. Its 1.75

I'm going to slice something for you. Will you put it on the sd card and run it for me (doesn't need a slicer, its already sliced)
