Someone posted about adding a heated bed. The controller has electrical outputs for it so adding it is possible.

You are going to want to convert the removable bed from plastic to aluminum (or something else) if you intend to do this.
Certainly possible, just a bit of work so set your expectations accordingly :)

Half of the fun in a 3D printer is hacking it to work how YOU want it to anyway.

A lot of the reprap community seems to like Shenzhen Ali Brothers, they are in China and sell on AliExpress but they will make a silicone heater in any size you need if they don't already, in practically any voltage/wattage you want. That is where I got my heater to upgrade my R1.

Yea ive already have a glass bed that work perfect for it now especially since the update it seems to be working. Going to look more into it. Also going to try your method of dual extrusion out as well soon.

You can find the output connector for the heated bed on the control board (pretty clearly labeled) and just run that up to your heater.

Not really. Even the Amazon sources for many of them are ultimately China.

Sorry for the delay... been really busy, had my students machine out a few test parts. This is only a start and test fit, not final at all, but good idea of what I did.

I'll end up doing one of these eventually. I'm wondering about the proper routing of the hot/ground though for the heating element. It can't interfere with the various z-adjustments going on in the rear section, methinks. The cable must reach the highest bed setting and the lowest and without a bend in the cable bumping into anything.

    Hi,

I received my heating bed with 4 wires (2 white and 2 red) but I just found the connector for bed but don't know which wires must be connected on... Thin reds are the temp sensor? where to connect them?

    Thank you for your help!

    I'm a rookie in electronic...

I'm guessing that a good photo of the heating bed/wires might help.

So you are customizing the C2? (it does not have a heated bed from Robo) -- need to be clear.
