    Hey guys,

Can I ask what you use to tighten up your x-axis belt? I wan't the easiest solution but there's so many online. Look forward to hearing what people are using.

Back when I had an R1, I used the custom carriage designed by @Mike Kelly on thingiverse.

    A couple of zip ties.
One to make a loop and one to anchor that back to the carriage and adjust the tension :)
Easy to adjust it then to whatever level of tight you want.

Move the carriage though its full range of motion to make sure that tensioner will actually not impede travel.

That looks like a pretty wide belt, wider than factory anyway. What size is it? Where did you get it?

If you do this, be a real pro with it and tighten the green one by using needle nose pliers to grab the tab end and twist until the belt is tight enough to give off an A# note when flicked.

Works perfectly. Just need a smaller screw...

Nah, as long as that is above the belt path and shorter than the carriage (and mounted as close to the carriage as possible) it won't be a problem.
