I am working on an enclosure for some delicate water monitoring sensors. I'm planing the outside be a thick mesh made in PETG so it can protect, but deform if needed rather than just breaking. I want the actual sensors held in place in the center, suspended by TPU discs, which can act as shock absorbers if it's mishandled.

How well does TPU hold up underwater? It's not being used in anything with high concentrations of solvents or anything. I just want to be able to toss the rig into a stream for 24 hour intervals, then pull it out and grab the logs and recharge it, then toss it back in. The rig needs to last all summer,

Should be fine, but I have not used NinjaFlex or SemiFlex in full immersion situations for extended time.

I thought those were TPE? My understanding is TPE would be stiff and brittle in this setting.

Uh, NinjaFlex is the exact opposite of stiff or brittle.
It is like soft (really soft) rubber.

SemiFlex is far less floppy, but still quite flexible

Not sure about extreme cold but anything north of freezing wont do much to it
