Try adding more top/bottom layers and drop the temperature 5 degrees.
    Still looks too hot.

Do u think it may be Matterhackers, if I switched to Cura do u think the extrusion would be better? So far everything I have tried neither helped or hindered the prints. They stay the same.

I am not a fan of MatterControl and will be more than happy to cast shade on it all day long.
Does that mean it is the actual problem? No, sadly, no. However you really should try another tool... (that one is poor)

<shrug> It has been so long since I used them my opinion may be 'stale' but 'back in the day' :) I preferred repetier-host and slic3r. That was the combo that was most repeatable and generally the best results. However, that was a few years back and I hear that there have been inroads made by the other free ones. Experiment.

Switched to Cura, and now it doesn't extrude at all...nothing. it goes through the motions like it's printing, but no extrusion

well, if the big wade gear is spinning and the filament is not extruding that is not a slicer issue.

Wade is spinning, retraction is working, went thru the auto level sequence. Just no extruding.

If it's a firmware issue, the only thing I changed was the esteps to 820 from 723.3

I flashed the esteps back to 723.3 on the 1 machine that wasn't extruding anything to see if that helps any.

I can manually extrude, but won't extrude for file.

Tried the cube on mattercontrol again and it extruded, maybe something in the gcode in cura

Uninstalled Cura, reinstalled it to reset any gcode that didn't work. Added a couple of waldos, still won't extrude. Which has me stumped, because I can extrude manually, and mattercontrol extrudes, just really bad print.

    Sorry, I don't speak 'Cura' :)
I only experimented with 2.x a bit for the C2 dual extrusion testing and while it sucked, it worked.

The problem was in the esteps, it was under-extruding, now its over extruding...but at least I know how to fix it. I still can't get Cura to extrude at all, so I will either work on it some more or try a different slicer. I may just not eat for awhile and buy the paid one everyone likes and uses. I think it's like $150.
