Semi-Custom board with some labels :)
    Not all are illuminating...
They did their own silk-screening for the art/labels...

Didn't get around to the pics, was taking pics of the scuffed door for a return. Hopefully will get some together this evening.

At least they didn't make the mistake of sticking with the same Ramps board used on the R1+Plus. :p

I am sure the factory told them it would save a few dimes.

Okay, a few pictures. It appears that there are two extruder's wired up. But the rest is just a mess to me. Take from these what you will . . . .

So there are going to be at least three connectors for the extruder, yea?

    1) The heater core
    2) The thermistor
    3) The extruder drive (stepper)

At least some of that is pre-wired (up to the top where the extruder plate is now).
There are also (as you noticed) E0 and E1 connectors called out on the board, but those are duplicates for what is running up to the top with the ribbon cable (at least for E0 it is). The C2 did not route E1 up that cable so I manually ran the cable up there :) You will need to chase that with a meter.

The thermistors run through the ribbon cable too and if you look at my tear down inside the extruder plate there is a set of connections for the power and thermistor to route over to the second extruder.

P.S. I have no idea where they intended to mount the second extruder stepper or extruder itself, you see I mounted mine on the back. It may be more obvious on the R2 where they intended those to be mounted. It will be bowden unless they changed the extruder carriage as well (and -- I doubt that).

Mark - There is a removable square panel on the rear of the R2. On the inside (after removing the black vertical panel) there is a mount for the second extruder stepper. Also, the second flip-out spool holder is left of the panel.

Perfect! Jerry indicated that internally the printer is already wired for it so that is perfect

the only question left is when with the kit be available? I still think it would be good PR for the original Kickstart backers to get a 2nd extruder kit for free. Especially since the printer was delayed 6 months to fully paid customers .. My 2 cents worth..

Also the door on my R2 was scuffed up as well. They need to put plastic protective sheet on the inside of the door as well.

You would have to contact Robo for answers on that and the kickstarter related stuff. (just a user forum, none of us here work for Robo and they dont frequent the forum so they wont see this)

I've been in communication with them regarding the door. Sent them pics of my scuffed door, and suggested the inside of all three Plexiglas panels be protected. They said the doors are on back order for now.

I got my new door, and it was immaculate. However, I am now noticing that there are vertical scratches on the inside of the door.

I think they are from the bed. Scratches are in the exact middle of the door, and about 3 inches tall.

Anyone else noticing vertical scratches on the inside of the door in the center of the door?

I was a Kickstart participant and out of the box my R2 had rub marks on the inside of the door. I complained and they sent a new one immediately. That is the good news.
The bad is that the unit never did work. The bed moved only up (not down). They sent a replacement limit switch but it was the X axis switch not Z.
I returned that unit as it was only getting worse and now have a brand new one. Door is great but the touchscreen does not respond to touch sometimes. Wonder what will come next.

Replacement touch screen is cheap... which is why they can be problematic ☺

Keep getting it replaced until you get one that works. You'll eventually get one as evidenced by the other threads where people have one that works.

Yea, under warranty if it is workable for you (if you are someplace where shipping is not stupidly slow or expensive) yes... make them get you a working unit. Once out of warranty I have some sources for the LCD screens and they are not expensive ($7 us -> $25 us depending on where you buy it -- same screen in all cases)
