Stepper losing steps is either a bad driver card or a bad stepper.
Are you using the steppers from the Robo? If not that might explain it.
Not all NEMA-17s are created equal.

When you say driver card your meaning the actual stepper driver? Or the marlin software?

On a standard ramps they are for extruders 1 and 2 (0 and 1) not sure on the Robo, but probably the same (the R1+ used the E1 connection to drive one of the Z steppers)

Well i swapped over to the second extruder pins and it worked but then i had to extend the wires out and i guess i did the same thing as on the first one and didnt put the wires in the right spot and now its doing the same. Is it possible i have the wiring config wrong and just need to find out which way is correct or did i blow the drivers by putting them in the wrong spot?

Try tuning the stepper driver pot. Also too high an acceleration value in firmware can behave the same way.

From what i can tell there is no way to adjust the drivers on the board. I left the acceleration default 900mm/s2

Anyone know what the pin layout is for the extruder? I tried testing with my multimeter and tested the first pin and 3rd pin and was getting 25v i dont think thats correct though

Do you happen to have a picture of the way you connected the wiring for your 2nd extruder? Im thinking i might have the wiring backwards which is causing my issue.

    ?
Connected which part? There are a lot of pictures in the thread, not sure what specifically you are looking at.
The extruder what? Heater core? Can't be done backwards... Extruder stepper? That could be backwards but it will be obvious if the extruder is spinning the wrong way :)
Post a picture of what you want to know about.

On here the connector for the stepper motor not the one to the board. Its hard to tell which colors are going to what pin

On the second one you added i didnt see the connector going to the board. Which pins go to which ones on the board?

Connector is on the right. Standard 4-wire Stepper connector. Only goes on one of two ways -- (1) motor spins correctly (2) motor spins backwardly

I figured since the other one was on GREEN TO THE RIGHT mine should also go on that way

Ah so they are not figured in the same way the X,Y,Z axis steppers are

I think i have the wiring different. With a multimeter on i get 25v then when try extruding i se pulses of around 5v i believe which im assuming means the driver is working properly.

    Sounds right.
There are not a lot of options for stepper wiring.

Wire colors vary just a bit, but those are the norms
