    Good day.
I received my R2 a couple of weeks ago now, and have enjoyed having a 3D printer again.
There have been a few quirks here and there, but for the most part, the R2 has been the printer I wished I had when I started.
This afternoon, however, I started getting an "Unhandled communication error" during pre-print calibration, in which the printbed heater was apparently faulting out.
I found another thread in this forum where a similar issue had been encountered; I checked my bed's pogo-pin connectors as suggested, and sure enough, the leftmost pair of pins, while still exhibiting some springiness at the bottom of their travel, do not extend nearly as far as the other four pins. (I tried to reply to that thread, but being new, I apparently don't have reply privileges yet.) Unlike the other poster, however, I am unable to restore full travel to my pogo pins, and my printer remains out of commission.
The moving contacts within the pins appear to move freely - it's just that the springs don't seem to be pushing them all the way back up again anymore.
Hoping for some sort of advice or resolution, as for the time being, my printer is non-functional, and I was in the middle of printing a run of parts which will - hopefully - help to get me a better job.
    Thanks!

Seamus, Get a small pair of needle nose pliers and grab the top portion of those two pins and gently turn them toward you just a little bit. I did this and it released the pins enough for them to bounce back up a little. I got this suggestion from Robo tech support and they suggested it AFTER they had placed an order for me to send me a new board. NO CHARGE of course. The new board came today so now I have a spare board in case this one acts up again.

Thanks for the reply and suggestion, but no joy.
I tried manipulating the pins fairly extensively with a pair of needle-nose pliers, both before and after your reply, but although the top portion moves quite freely, the springs within just don't seem to be able to provide any more than just a little bit of travel anymore, and they always fall back to the position pictured.

Make sure you contact Robo3D for a warranty claim to get started.

Pogo Pin Dysfunction. Apply Viagra. Be sure to contact Robo for any print lasting longer than 4 hours.

Update: Warranty claim processed, and new Pogo Adapter board on the way.
I was able to at least start one more print job, so I should be able to get the parts I need made while the replacement is in transit. At this point, as long as the job doesn't abort part way through, I should be good.
