I've been trying to use CURA and Craftware, but neither can find the printer. Matter Control hooks right up, but others don't find it.

What COM port is showing up for the Arduino in Device Manager? Make sure you tell Cura to use that one.

Now for that brilliant flash of stupidity on my part. Are you talking about windows device manager? and where in Cura is that command at?

For the COM port I believe Mark is talking about Tools>Port inside Arduino. As for Cura, I have never used so can't help. Perhaps try a different USB port or different cable if you have one available, or if you haven't already.

Windows Device manager will show an Arduino Mega connected as a device if the Arduino is working and the driver is loaded.

So would you just disable it or uninstall it?

    ?
    Why do either :)
The idea is to check that it is actually showing up and working.
If it is NOT then install the driver.

If you really want to reinstall the driver then uninstall it from device manager and then unplug the printer, install the arduino driver (you can download it with the Arduino compiler here: https://www.arduino.cc/download_handler.php just install the Arduino IDE and it will install the Ardunio driver too) and replug the device back in.

You will likely want the Arduino compiler to use for upgrading the firmware at some point in the future so having it installed is not a bad thing.
