Shrinkage in part printing!

    OutsourcedGuru - That's exactly how it's done. If the stepped/ tapered hole is made correctly, the bond is very strong. On pieces I tested, I could not pull an insert out by pulling on an attached screw with pliers.

    Ah... I know what I'd do. Taking some end-of-spool extra filament, I'd wind that around the insert tightly, jam that into the hole and then apply your heat trick. (It's similar to the spring method of drilling out and reparing a bolt receptacle that's stripped, only with heat.)
