dual extruder robo r 1+

    sorry about being vague let me try to clear that up basically when I home the printer both the x and y axis home away from their respective home switches which is causing a problem

    And if X+ does NOT move away from the home switch and X- does not move towards the home switch then you have the stepper plugged in backwards. Same with the Y axis.

    so I need to change the hardware for the printer to function properly? I only changed the firmware and that made it home properly

    The two are tied at the hip. You should not need to change the firmware to home properly if the printer is assembled correctly.
    If you changed the HOME direction then maybe it is backwards now... we do not know what you did to the printer :)

    But if X+ moves towards home then the X stepper is backwards.

    Simply plugging the stepper in backwards on either end of the wire will cause it to step backwards...

    to my knowledge I didn't change the home direction. I will apply those changes and get back to you. thanks for your help

    Make sure the +/- step the right directions and if they do then make sure the home direction is correct in the firmware.
