Metric Nuts and Bolts

    I need to buy metric some nuts and bolts to put a project together. Can someone point me to a recommended set on Amazon? What are the most common sizes?

    I like to use socket cap bolts whenever possible. Usually I go to my local hardware store and pick what I need out of their bins. But It's much cheaper and less frustrating to have these types of kits at your fingertips.

    Realistically, try to estimate the size and length of your fasteners ahead of time and order a kit(s) that match your needs.

    There is a small businessman in WI that sells in small quantities has a very large selection and doesn't gouge people on shipping. I use him over Amazon if I only need a few of an item and besides Jeff Besos doesn't really need anymore of my money.

    Thanks, I just got the assortment with the most variety. I'm tired of doing projects that come to a halt because I don't have the right hardware on hand. I'm currently adding the LCD from Print Solid to my R1+. The person who posted the frame on Thingiverse doesn't list the hardware used to assemble it.

    FWIW I just order 100 of everything from m2 through m5(and nuts and washers, typically has me covered). I go through fastenal because there is a branch local to me. If I dont go there I go to Ace Hardware and "support the little guy" when possible.

    I started with a couple of assortment packs (M2-M5, M3-M8 -- including odd ones like M2.5)
    and from there bought specific stuff as needed.

    indeed. The half sizes are a MUST at times :D. alot of what your doing can be done yourself with a little modeling, then you can designate the hole size/thread. :D

    I have to throw in here Servocity/Actobotics has some really sexy aluminum fasteners and hardware packs. And if you're looking for the magnets on the bottom of the C2's bed then the 0.5" might be the ones Robo sourced for this.
