Any specifics on it? Supports or type of filament?

being near the hotend I'd go for a higher temp material if you have it available. I like to use taulman 910 nylons for hotend area parts or ABS/PETG/XT

Thx. All i use right now is PLA. I don't want to use ABS due to the fumes inside the house, but I will look for some PETG.

@Curtis I run 7 ABS machines in my shop ( not very big ) and have very little to no smell and never feel sick. If you are concerned but havent tried it might be worth a shot (that said I never recommend people use ABS :D) . PETG is easy to run on the Robo just put some glue down to keep it from sticking to hard to your PEI. Same with XT or even NGEN.

Printed mine in ABS, came out nicely.

    2 little issues:

    - The indent for the IR sensor's connector pins is missing vs. original:

    20170831_212100.jpg

Had to trim the pins a bit and grind the part to allow for the rest.

    - Mounting's screwy. It's supposed to attach to the 4 M3 corner threads, but those are only 2mm deep due to another screw coming from the other side. The mounting lugs are 3mm, so you'd need a 5mm screw to hold well. Standards are 4/6/8mm, 4/6 are hard to find and 4 would barely hold, so it would probably have been wiser to make the lugs thicker, like 6.5mm so an M3x8 screw can be used. Or even better, add 2 lugs in the middle so you can screw only those 2 where the holes are at least 10mm deep, corner ones can stay without a screw for stabilization (should be enough, original one only holds from the 2 back screws).

Thanks for the write-up Kilrah. I'll try modifying their STL for the issues you outlined when my filament arrives.

I haven't studied the new vs original design. What essentially did Robo change?

Original is very wide, leaves room for 2 extruders and without even properly directing air to any of them, just throws it in the general downward direction.
New actually has proper curves to direct the airflow onto the part/hotend tip for real this time and forgets about the 2nd extruder possibility to come around the single one more symmetrically (although they aimed for heater block center instead of nozzle).

Did you notice any difference in cooling of the hotend between the stock part and the one you printed, in terms of fan positioning?

I feel like the cold part of the hotend isn't getting enough cooling in my R2, but I don't know if that's because of the duct design or because the fan is underpowered.

Haven't been able to mount it yet due to the screw annoyance, so no idea :)
I'd actually expect hotend cooling to be potentially worse since there's less room for the air to exit even if the fan is aimed better... could have to keep the Robo cover off

No, but the C2 uses the exact same extruder and housing/fan/etc.
    I have 2 on there... :)

Maybe the fan duct should have been designed with one hot end from the start. Then include a dual head fan duct with the second extruder when it's available.
