Z-screw stabilizer plug

    So as the threaded z direction rod rotates, what stops this plug from spinning?

    The plug fits snugly into the holes and just touches the rod on the inside. I have not had any issues with spinning on mine.

    A 608 Bearing fits perfectly in there too by the way guys. ......Almost like it was designed for it...........

    If you lead screw is bent or warped constraining the top is not the best choice as it puts undue stress on the motor internals. That is what flexible couplings are for. In this short a run I couldn't tell you if your Z Axis stepper will suffer any significant damage but it could so you should know it is possible.
