Top is normal and a result of the layer height, what isn't is the Z wobble. That looks like a Z screw issue.

Yes - The blue version Kilrah posted above is very close to the results I got on my R2. The roof has a slight slope, so ridges there are normal. The vertical walls of the cabin, and the bow on the white model show excessive ribs.

Try printing a cube and any ribbing should be apparent.

My result is below, using MakerGeeks silver PLA:

    Fair enough.

All belts appear tight. Reasonably certain there's nothing left in the extruder. I'll take a look otherwise.

As a sanity check, I printed four column-like parts and wanted to look for any ringing. This was using the lowest quality setting from the four C2 profiles (Cura).

Here is a good video of me turning each in hand so that you can see them better.

@OutsourcedGuru I don't want to watch the video can't you just summarize you findings in a post?

Still looks like you have a repetitive pattern of "blobs" along the Z axis... for comparison:

In summary, it seems smooth enough to me for the lowest quality setting. The further back on the bed the part, the (slightly) less pronounced it is, nonetheless. To me, this feels like the cantilevering of the bed assembly itself (back of printer to front). It's a small diving board, if you will.

Designed this to fit under the bed frame but I'll have to chase down some M3 aluminum bolts for this (quantity eight).
