Having a filament jamming / stop flow type of issue. It happens at roughly the same height each time.

The filament does bind and the hobbed bolt stops pushing it. The extruder does need a cold pull each time to get cleaned out but flows again afterwards. I can extrude 400+mm without issues.

Try printing again, about the same height (about 1.5-2" height) it failed again. for the third time actually.

I am now printing a low profile print job that has been successfully printed recently with this filament. Inland purple PLA, 1.75mm

I have been told there is a website to send the .stl file to for verification that it is correct. This file has never been successfully printed. I would like to send this file off for testing while the current print is in process. Does anyone know where to go?

All practices that result in a correct print in my world has been done. It is a new design that has been generated using Fusion 360 and the "make" button, which I am new to. I normally design in Autodesk and simply export the .stl

    Just trying to remove variables.

    Any words of wisdom?

    Got it. thanks.

However, how do I get Matter control to see a .3mf file? or do I open in 3D builder then save as to an .stl file?

The latter. You need to convert it from 3D builder format to STL ...

They used to offer the option to save as STL, but ... no longer

    Got it. Awesome. Thank you!

I will let you know if the file prints properly now. The lower profile job is printing fine as usual. so hopefully by tonight I will know for sure. Have you heard of a file causing a flow type issue?

Not really. Model issues are usually vectors that are misplaced or broken (not a solid surface) and they jut confuse the slicer.
If it is repeatable at a given height it is more likely as mechanical issue.

Well, looks like it’s repeatable. At the 3.25” to 4” heights. Seems to print fine above and below. Any ideas as to what mechanic issues I might look for?
    Thanks,
    M

Need to clarify. Filament is no longer jamming. I’m just having layer separation/bonding issues in this area.

clean and lube all axis and try again. Clean out the nozzle and season if PLA.

Well, this time the problem area is 2.5-3” above the bed.
I cleaned and lubed all axis rods. Cold pulled the nozzle a few times. It extrudes nicely and then seasoned with canola oil. Same situation. This time the area had one layer that [IMG][IMG]while removing from bed it broke apart. Hardly bonded at all. Solid below and above the problem area.
I also enclosed the printer to make sure I had a consistent warm temperature.
    What should I try next?
    Thank you,
