    Hi All,

I’ve had my printer for a few months now and I’ve had a few problems. There are often gaps or striations in my print. There is sometimes a weird texture that appears on the print. I have installed an Oiler which helped a bit but not completely. I have increased wall thickness and amount of walls also temperatures. There is a very loose belt on the y axis which I don’t know if it’s causing any problems.

    Settings:

Filament: Only PLA, Hatchbox and Robo PLA

    Please Help!

Does the Robo R2 have a matter control profile?

Also I haven’t calibrated it completely but I have experimented with flow rates with little luck.

Is that pla? It looks much to hot and that causes a multitude of issues. I do not know of a R2 profile for mattercontrol. It appears for the C2/R2 they have ditched it (good thing) for a "flavor" of cura. What slicer are you using now?

That’s Hatchbox PLA, I have only tried using PLA. I am using Cura for my slicer. I have also tried a few different brands of PLA

ok so what your going to want to do is do a few test prints. Do something like the deprime test model on thingiverse or the such. The temperature wont be a guessing game, you start at a temp, say 200. Print, then do one at 195, which one looks better? If 195 does, do 190 and continue. PLA wants to be extruded as cold as possible but where it still flows with fans on 100% after the first layer or two.

Visual trouble shooting guide, even though S3D put it out, it still pertains to 3D printing in general.

    https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/

get the temp nailed down, then work on any errors that you see and of course post pictures.
