The C2 stopped wanting to boot (white screen) and I finally got around to having time to look at it...
I have a desktop version of the little LCD and a Pi so I took the SD card to try and get it to boot there (or at least try too) same thing. So, I reimaged it (twice) on other SD cards, no joy. Took its original card and reformatted it (SDFormatter -- Yay!) and then reimaged it with the last saved image I had (1.14) and it tried to boot... so swapped that SD card back into printer, booted it and now it is updating to the current image (1.18?)

When it finishes I will clone THAT image off to disk so I don't have to rollback quite as far next time.

This is the 3rd time* I have had to reimage the Pi due to glitches so it is NOT unheard of. MAKE YOURSELF A BACKUP IMAGE.

    *but, hey!, who's counting?

They should have done us all a favor and made it easier to get to the SD Card the Pi is booting from :)

You might want to verify that the micro-USB that powers the Raspi is firmly connected. From what I understand, a loose connection can manifest itself in the white screen phenomenon.

Yes, that is true (but not the cause) I had to snug it in when it had first arrived :)
It is just not a great place to mount the Pi and SD card access.

I have been wanting to use different standoffs for the rPi to tilt it up. I think there is enough room in the R2 to tilt it quite a bit. That should make removing and replacing the µSD card easier.

@Geof I already have too many loose parts in the R2 bottom compartment, don't need the rPi to be loose too.

As we used to say (a long time ago) if it isn't going to be fired off a catapult or up into space you can be 'flexible' with mounting :)

    x 2

It's just easier if you leave one standoff in the back/right corner attached and let the others just prop up the Raspi, IMHO.

    I just vote for Murphy's law :D

I'm enough into this to know to make a backup so I did, and of course because of that I've never needed it :p
