I have an R1+ and I've acquired this thump when moving the bed on the Y axis. I'm thinking it's a bearing or perhaps some wear on the belt. What's a good replacement bearing for those?

    Thanks,

LM8UU is the bearing your after. There are 4 of them in the Y, 4 in the X and 4 in the Z. Get spares :D. Buy good ones, but in reality they are all pretty cheap. Clean and lubricate them before you install to save yourself some grief. Thumping could be belt tension or something getting snagged in movement as well. might want to lift the bed off the magnets and move it around to see where the thump is coming from. I had issues with the ribbon cable clamp coming loose and "smacking" the plastic middle plate everything bolts to.

Thanks Geof, I had the bed off yesterday and was still getting the "Thump" I can't see anything making contact with anything else. I lubed everything up really good and it seemed to minimize it but it's still there. It's right in the middle too. Where it does the three middle bed probes.

Is the heat pad rubbing on the hex bolts? Over time they start to sag in the middle. Some HVAC tape fixes it right up :D. if you take the glass up and move it and its still there then yes I'd agree bearing or bearing block issue. Save yourself some grief if your still printing ok and print some bearing blocks before you take them apart. If they are cracked...replace them both along with new bearings. You can also remove the Y belt to take another "thing" off the possible check list and get it narrowed down to the bearings/blocks as well. :D

You know what? It's the bed striking the XXL LCD case.

Oh well. I have back up parts for when I need them.
