I’m getting lots of dings on mine, but due to the bed crashing into the head. A result of the new mapping with the G36 commands. I opened a ticket with Robo

I am finding it a bit hard to believe they are close to releasing anything that might be considered bug free. I know what the G35 / G36 does, but i don't believe it actual does what they think. Without seeing the RoboLCD code there is no way to see what they fixed and or broke in it. It was only by seeing the previous version that I discovered that the Z offset Wizard resets all EEPROM values. I think there is a new variable in Marlin 1.1.8 that would offer the same results as all that code they added, with only a single line edit in Configuration.h. I would test it more completely, but since I use UBL I don't have any of the issues others may have seen with changing Z Offset or leveling.

You should do little in depth on how to set up flex system on the Robo. It looks really nice.

Can’t wait as for now will try out the ultrabase as that’s more or less simple but let’s see.

Looks like i'll be replacing my buildtak lot more sooner then expected, I've been printing a part with a brim and it still is coming off slightly from the edges. I will try with sandpaper to restore the buildtak little bit, and i suppose afterwards i'll change it to ultrabase for test.

I just ordered a FlexPlate kit from Matterhackers and I’m really excited about it! I’ve been through a few buildtak sheets since I upgraded to the V2 bed because my PETG prints stuck way too well and ended up taking chunks out of the sticker. Switching to the buildtak spatula also helped with that!

I’ve actually had a really good luck with the air dusted spray, shake it and tilt it to make sure you spray out tiny bit of the liquid it literally makes the part unstuck. I’ve been printing quite a few large parts and been able to get them off from the plate without issues.

Will be interested to see how well it fits. The build volume of the R2 is a bit smaller (considerably) than 8", please do share photos.

I will absolutely post pictures when I get it! Do you know how much smaller the build plate is? Or do you mean the build area is smaller but the plate is 8” X 8”?

build area is basically 196x196 which is something sort of like 7.72 inches. The plate itself I'm unsure, I never measured it... a bit bigger. Interested to see the set up for sure!

It looks like the Robo buildtak sheets are 8 and 15/16” square.

This is roughly what the 8 X 8 FlexPlate would look like on the V2 bed. If it was white piece of paper that was trimmed by someone who has difficulty with straight lines.

So looks like a little build volume loss (maybe?) hard to tell on the Robos because the whole bed isn't exactly useable. Keep us posted and dont forget to adjust your slicer if need be.
