Yes I ended up looking around after I wrote my original post. Figured out that the sensor for the Y Axis was not triggering. So I bent is you a hair more and put a little wad of aluminum foil in between the button and the metal tab. Works like a charm now. So then I test printed straight from Cura...... It stopped after about 10 layers so ill have to work on that, but saving the gcode for the same print and loading it in matter control worked like a charm. Print came out great for a first gcode try. Buddah Yoda was printed.

Eagerly following to see what shows up.
I just plain went back to Cura 15.04.6 which already has a printer profile for Robo 3D. Plus I like the interface better.
HOWEVER, if the settings are shared that work with the newer Cura, I might give it another try.

Can anyone provide the specs for doing skirts? In MC, I can set it to do 2 loops with a min of 5mm extruded. In cura, best I can find is to set it to a min of 5mm. For some reason, the 5mm is yellowed out too.

This is on a Mac but I don't think that would matter with it being a setting.

I'm attempting to use Cura, my first print was a disaster, definite Z off set problems, so I've been trawling through this thread and looking at what gcode settings I should use, but the gcode I'm seeing looks a lot different to the code that most of you guys are quoting, am in in the right part of the settings?

    1) Which version of Cura are you using (15.x or 2.x)?
    2) Edit the startup GCode block :) Include your M565 command with your Z offset.

This thread is not for that version :)

Still you can try setting the startup GCode to the normal block for Robo. If that is not working please start a new thread.

I just recently tried setting up Cura for my mac (2.3.1) and I did all the steps listed above but my question is shouldnt you just copy the Start G-code and End G-code from MatterControl into the new CURA profile so it would be all the same? I have the Robo 3D R1 plus model printer

I can move the extruder and extrude but I cannot actually get it to start printing from usb with cura

I'd suggest starting a trouble shooting thread with the title "Cura 15.x.x.x issue". I dont use cura so I wont be of much help, but then the people that do use it can see

Not sure how many folks use that version of Cura (or Cura of any version -- although there are some I am sure).
Let's see if any of them can comment.
Like @Geof I also do not use Cura.

What program are you using? Are you happy with it? I have to switch from Mattercontrol because some of my models crashes the program.

We both use Simplify 3D. It is not free ($150 U.S. last I checked). Never personally regretted the decision myself, but I cannot "recommend" you to spend your money on it until you have exhausted the free options (or unless you want to).

Can you make an updated version of this for the newest cura version and make sure to add the end gcode also. Thanks!

I think they do, but not sure if it is for the older 15.x version of the newer 2.x version.
