    Hello

Can someone recommend a silicone sock that i can mount on the heater block of the hexagonal hotend. I'm re-purposing a spare hotend on a delta, while everything is done and done, The heater block is little bit close to a printed part. I found this one on amazon for e3d, but wasn't sure of the fit. so if anyone can make a recommendation that would be great.

Is there a way i can do something to protect the printed shroud from the heat of the heater block.

This is how I have it mounted

May be ok, a redesign of the f@n shroud is all that comes to mind or make your own high temp silicone sock

Our Delta has a slightly different arrangement of fans. You might look into something like that.
In this setup the heater block and nozzle are not getting the airflow the same way:

maybe in your case arc the fan duct nozzle further out and then point it back in?
Sure it adds a little more back pressure, but would help get it away from the nozzle and heater block.

I ordered an e3d block and used the stock hexagon so I could put socks on it and that seemed to work ok until it leaked PETG everywhere... but I think that was my fault.

No problem! I got mine from PrintedSolid. They’ve got a lot of different e3d parts and part kits
