Answered y axis not zeroing

    i recently rebuilt my robo 3d r1 + and the y wolnt zero.

    How so? What exactly does the "Z" axis do?

    Ditto. If it wont go "down" towards the bed, its likely a z switch out of place.

    its the y. it goes the wrong way. and i flipped the wiring and it still does it

    If you reverse the connector on a stepper it will step the wrong direction.
    So your symptoms don't make any sense. If for some reason the firmware or software was telling the printer to STEP Y- and it steps Y+ then reversing the wiring will reverse the stepper motor direction. The arduino only knows one position for each stepper. HOME. Everything is + from there :) it remembers how many steps it has made from home.

    If your home switch is not connected or is always reading HOME then the motor will always try to step + away from that position.
