So just recently my prints seem to be shifting. Here is a picture of what the printer is doing. Any suggestions as what could cause this to happen? I have the r1+ printer.

Try again on the picture or load it to another picture sharing site and post a link

Invariably then slipping is one of two things:
    1) drive slipped/skipped on its own
    2) something got in the way and blocked the drive

    2) if it is the Y axis then it usually a cable getting caught under the bed as it travels front/back.
    1) If it is the X is is almost always a loose belt of a loose drive cog on the stepper shaft. Can be same for the Y, so check that too.

Its definitely the Y axis. I can post a picture or link if i can find a site that it will let me post. I tried onedrive and imgur.

Looks like (from second pic) it is the Y (lengthwise along the bed) so probably one of the cables under the bed getting hung in the bed mechanics. Lift the glass bed off of the rails (held on with magnets) and slide it back and forth watching the wires.

I took the bed off and make sure the cables are clear now it seems to not be shifting. However I still get this melted print look. As mention about i haven't really change my settings from when it was printing well. I typically use Cura, and the reprapdiscount Smart LCD Controller. I print the pla at 190 bed at 60. I'm not sure what to adjust. https://photos.google.com/share/AF1...?key=ZVNWdENfMVV6T3pia1VuQ2VPSjhndGxXSDFpeVN3

I did lower the flow but that didn't seem to help at all

Does this happen with every print or just with this test print? Could you try the same print with the printer connected to a desktop or a laptop computer?

it happens with every print. I can try to attach it to the computer to print but i have to unplug the controller to test that. I will give that try when I have some time to take it apart

From what I was reading in the links in the post above, I wonder if there's an issue with the end stop switch. Check the screws to see if it's loose or if the movable arm is bent.

No. Look at the pictures please. It has nothing to do with home switches.

So my printer seems to be doing better. I by passed the controller and printed straight from MatterControl and the prints were fine. I tried Cura again with the controller and had issues. I took a look at my g-code and things seems to be order there. Then next i dumped all my PLA settings and it seems to have solved the issue. I also switched models to a different one. The one i showed in the picture wouldn't even slice in matter control. I must of had corrupted .stl or something with that file.

well I'd start with exrtuded too hot ... it just looks too melty (high tech term there).
Also calibrate the extruder since visually it looks like it might be over extruding too.

If it is solved then jolly good :)
Slicer is always a possible culprit

That was also my first thoughts. When you look at the troubleshooting guides they elude to the overheating issue or over extruding. I even bought a new hot end to make sure wasn't that.
