Yes I saw that after posting. One thing I was referring to actually was how did you glue it together so it held up well? I didn't know if Super Glue or an Epoxy was used.

Ah okay thank you for the reply. I figured Super glue alone would pop loose over time which would not be good.

My slicer estimates the total at probably over a roll of PLA, except I think I probably should use PETG instead.

Does this match your experience as well? And what material did you use?

That hood looks really nice. I'm planning to make one, or something very similar. After using it a while, do you still like the slot size for the cable, or would you make it a little wider or ?

I printed all the parts out for mine and it did take over a 1KG roll of filament. I am in the process of assembling it.

As for the slot. I have not used it yet, but it appears a bit narrow compared to the ribbon cable.

How did it turn out? I’m in the process of printing my first piece of it now.

It turned out really well (still assembling parts of it). I ended up printing the edge/lip separately so I wouldn't have to use much supports. The first piece I printed used 3x the amount of filament needed and took much longer because of the supports and I couldn't get it cleaned up very well so decided to go that route.

Part of the problem was my fault and the support settings I used though.

I just ordered a 2.5kg spool of ASA. Hope that'll be enough!

I'm not sure with factoring in all the supports, but I would think that would be enough.

How did you all use this? I put this on my printer after printing it and it doesn't stay put and the cables pull real hard against the edge of the slot and also the cables catch on it.

I thought of cutting out the whole back, but would be losing heat then.

Can you post this model? The one ROBO gave me was awful, just 4 .stl's that weren't scaled weirdly and aren't accurate.

I made a cover for when I'm not using printer with hindge to help with placing cover on and off. Obviously you can't print with it on but it's nice to keep dust out when printer not in use.

I'm waiting on black Vynl decal to come in to cover the plexiglass on top and make it fit in better with red handle and colors. I still have some sanding to do around edge of plexiglass and I also added 28ndegree which helps cover slide right into position.

Just thought I would share my project.

Thinking about also painting edge after sanding with a silver color to match the aluminum trim on the side.

I think it will look pretty nice when black Vynl arrives to cover minor scratches and 28 degree wedges. I think if I used printer more often I would consider the hood cover but I really don't use printer as often as many of you.

Screw it, I'm just gonna make a gigantic chamber out of 8020 and put the whole printer in it. Why not right? It'll look spectacular too . It will cost a ton of money though
