Check out the first layers of my latest print. In my opinion, it looks like my R1+ is snorting coke. However, that might explain why it's acting crazy.

To the best of my knowledge, the only thing I have changed is the filament. This is an older roll of PLA from MakerGeeks.com that I have printed from many times before. I checked my settings and discovered that I lacked the "M565 Z-1.0" command between G28 and G29. I made the correction and my R1+ is still sputtering PLA. The motors and movement are fine, it's just the filament output.

I'm including the .fff. I would be very appreciative if someone would just take a gander at it to see what I may be overlooking.

looks like a partial clog in the nozzle, maybe extruding to cold. in the "no lay down" sections is the nozzle to close to the bed? or is there still a gap and it just wont extrude?

It looks like it still has space. I had no problems switching out the filament so I assumed it wasn't clogged. I recently tried to change filament again and the new filament won't go in. I don't have any guitar string/wire to feed through there. So now this issue is on hold.

    You can always swap nozzles.
They are not too bad to deal with.

I swapped out hot-ends. I had a brand new one I bought last year. By the time it came in, I fixed the original one. However, I don't have the luxury of playing with the clogged hot-end, so I just installed the new one. Haven't fired it up yet. Here's hoping the place doesn't burn down.

    Hopefully, this will fix everything.

Well I meant just the brass nozzle, but the entire hotend works too :)

LOL I didn't have just the brass nozzle. Being at the end of my rope and caffeine, I replaced the whole thing. Still kept the other just in case.

As always, thanks to everyone for being very helpful and generally cool.

Now you have a spare brass nozzle (and the rest of the extruder too!)
